The show ran into its own snag in 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic struck, as traveling is required for the reality show to continue. Season 32 premiered in October 2020, approximately two years after filming ended, following substantial delays. Strangers, married couples, best friends, family members, and new couples have all been on the teams over the years.
Some racers have even discovered real love. On Big Brother, Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf met and fell in love. They agreed to compete together on Season 30 shortly after leaving the house, proving how crazy they were with each other. They got engaged in February 2018, just months after winning the $1 million reward. They announced their pregnancy shortly after.
