Players were thrown out of games about 9 a.m. ET, and if they were able to return to the server, they were greeted with a malfunction displaying -9999 Apex currency and crafting metals. Players were then startled to find that all Legends but the first six were locked. The glitch has lasted about 50 minutes so far, however it should just be a short hiccup, either until the servers return to normal or until Respawn solves the issue. 

Apex has reached a new peak player count on Steam, slightly around 400,000 players, around the time the incident occurred. It’s probable that the problems were caused by the increase of players across platforms. Respawn has verified that they are currently researching the issues, and several gamers have reported that things are returning to normal.

1) Compatibility Check

5) Reinstalling Apex Legends

  • Click “directX shader cache” and “temporary files” after you’ve picked your HDD.

  • To begin the disc cleanup, click the ‘ok’ button.
