Badhaai Do Age Storyline

Shardul Thakur, a police officer assigned to the Dehradun police station for women, is under pressure from his family to marry, but he refuses. Sumi (Suman) works as a physical education teacher in a school, and she, too, is under pressure from her family to marry. But Sumi isn’t interested because she prefers women. She signs up for a dating app and meets a woman, only to discover that the person is actually a man with a phoney ID. He tries to blackmail Sumi by threatening to reveal her secret to her family if she does not spend the night with her, but she eventually seeks the help of Shardul. Shardul assists Sumi, but he soon begins to follow her, revealing that he is aware of her desire for the same sex and that he, too, is a man.

Shardul persuades Sumi that they should marry for the sake of their family and live their own lives. Shardul and Sumi marry, and Shardul spends his time with his boyfriend Kabir, while Sumi is smitten by Rimjhim. However, the issue emerges when their families pressurise them to have children.
