SBS’s “Cheer Up” is a campus mystery rom-com about a college cheer squad whose glory days are long gone and is now on the verge of falling apart. Han Ji Hyun stars as Do Hae Yi, a rookie member of Yonhee University’s cheer squad Theia, who has a cheerful personality despite facing difficult circumstances at home. Bae In Hyuk stars as Theia’s often misunderstood captain Park Jung Woo, who is a firm stickler for the rules but is also a romantic at heart.
“Cheer Up” has unveiled a new preview of Episode 9 that teases the sweet relationship between Do Hae Yi and Park Jung Woo. In the stills, Park Jung Woo sits comfortably while Do Hae Yi takes a nap beside him. Park Jung Woo watches Do Hae Yi sleep deeply with a warm and romantic gaze, as if desperately wanting to confess his feelings for her. When he suddenly looks away, his expression fills with sadness.
Park Jung Woo currently has deep romantic feelings for Do Hae Yi, but has put his emotions aside in order to protect her. Although he’s drawn a firm line in their relationship, she still consumes his thoughts and emotions as he continues to pay attention to her every move.
The “Cheer Up” production team shared, “Bae In Hyuk’s deepened romance acting will maximize the affection index of the Do [Hae Yi] and [Park Jung] Woo couple. Bae In Hyuk’s serious display of affection for Han Ji Hyun and the excitement of a first love will melt viewers’ hearts and make your hearts flutter, so please look forward to it.”
Due to a baseball game, “Cheer Up” was cancelled on Monday, November 7. Episode 9 will air on November 8 at 10 p.m. KST instead.
