Fans Spot BLACKPINK’s Lightstick In Selena Gomez’s New Documentary

Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK finally had a long-awaited collaboration in 2020, when they released “Ice Cream” which was included in BLACKPINK’s first full album, “The Album”. Selena recounted on multiple occasions how happy she was to have worked with the BLACKPINK girls, who she then became close friends with. Selena and BLACKPINK members have always been extremely respectful and appreciative of each other in various interviews, therefore, it doesn’t come as a surprise that “SELPINK” have its own subfandom.

Ever since the collab, fans are always delighted to spot new SELPINK moments.

She is really sweet. She is beautiful too, okay I’m going to choose Selena. I’m going to choose her because, oh my god, she is so pretty and she is so nice. She’s like a sweetheart,” Lisa had stated in an interview last year when she was asked if she has ever been starstruck meeting someone. She also expressed the desire to work with Selena once again.

“I just love them and their energy. We had a lot of fun together but sadly because of the virus we weren’t able to do anything in person. I had met Jisoo and Rosé at a fashion show a couple of years ago but I can’t wait to meet the other girls in person one day,” Selena had said talking about her collab with BLACKPINK.

Here’s what BLACKPINK had to say about working with Selena,“All of us are fans of Selena Gomez. Although we couldn’t meet in person to work on the song, we were charmed by her once again while communicating with her multiple times [during the production process]. Seeing how humble she was and how freely she expressed her opinions made us think that she was a really cool person.”

Selena Gomez recently released a new apple tv documentary titled, “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me”. The fans who watched the documentary were pleasantly surprised to spot a BLACKPINK lightstick in one of the scenes and pointed out the same on social media. Fans are hoping that this is a sign that they can spot Selena on BLACKPINK’s upcoming concert in Los Angeles. They are also praying for a first-ever live performance for “Ice Cream”. In addition to Selena, BLACKPINK has also collaborated and maintained strong friendships with female artists like Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga.
