‘Flower of Evil’ drops gripping main posters of lead stars Lee Joon-gi, Moon Chae-won

Upcoming tvN thriller series Flower of Evil has unveiled an intense chemistry between co-stars Lee Joon-gi (Lawless Lawyer) and Moon Chae-won (Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter) in the newly released main posters for the drama.

Flower of Evil tells the tale of Baek Hee-sung (Lee Joon-gi), a psychopath who takes on another person’s identity to lead a normal wedded life with his wife Cha Ji-won (Moon Chae-won), a homicide detective. On the outside, Hee-sung appears to be an ideal husband and father who works hard in his own metalworking studio in order to provide for his family. However, the couple’s harmonious relationship starts taking a sinister turn when Ji-won gets assigned to a gruesome case and soon discovers that Hee-sung may not be the simple craftsman he claims he is.

There are two completely contrasting representations of the poster. In the first one, the husband and wife are shown sharing intimate gestures inside a dusk-lit room. Their affectionate gazes are fixed on each other and give the impression of an imminent romantic kiss.

The second version depicts a terrifying scene where Baek Hee-sung’s work clothes show stains of blood and his sweet touches on Cha Ji-won turn into subtle strangulation. The lovely silhouette effect of the afternoon sun disappears against what seems like the flashing red light from a police car. They are still looking at each other, but this time, their eyes express blended feelings of rage, disbelief, and despair.

Flower of Evil features a unique story line that confronts the question, “What will you do if you find out that your husband, the one you have loved for the past 14 years and share a child with, is a suspected serial killer?”
