It is a known fact that the distributor of PUBG Battlegrounds PC and PUBG Mobile, Krafton has filed a separate law suite against Garena Free Fire for copying many elements from PUBG like “air-drop” feature, weapons combination, armor suites, location, and even color scheme. Krafton was furious about the issue and also included Google Play Store, App Store, and even Youtube in the suit. The government banned nearly 270 apps in 2020 for safety purposes which also included PUBG. After PUBG’s ban, a similar game, Garena Free Fire gained popularity and many started to shift towards Free Fire. Now that PUBG was released from its ban with a few restrictions, the distributor filed a lawsuit claiming that the game was ripping off several similar styles from PUBG and asked Garena International to “immediately stop.” Fans think this may be the sole reason behind the disappearance of the game in the Google Play Store and App Store.
