Love Is Blind is a Netflix dating reality show created by Chris Coelen and produced by Kinetic Content. It launched on February 13, 2020, as part of a three-week event. Married at First Sight, which was also created by Kinetic Content, and The Bachelor have both been likened to the series. There were ten episodes in total, plus a March 5 reunion special on Netflix and YouTube. On March 24, 2020, Netflix announced that Love Is Blind would be renewed for a second and third season. On October 6, 2021, as part of a three-week event, a Brazilian adaptation of Love Is Blind debuted on Netflix.

Love Is Blind Season 2 Cast 

Season 2 of Love Is Blind, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, began with 30 single hopefuls yearning for love, the same as season 1. The pool was narrowed down to six men and six women as the shows progressed and are listed below.

What is Love Is Blind Season 2 About ?

On Love Is Blind season 2, six couples made it out of the pods and were engaged, and viewers are eager to see if these relationships will go all the way to the altar. In the first season of Love Is Blind, 15 women and 15 men had the opportunity to meet in the pods. Although some early connections were made, many couples needed to spend more time in the pods interacting and learning more about each other.

Love Is Blind Season 2

Some participants, such as Danielle and Nick, were drawn to one other in the pods right away. Other participants, such as Shayne and Mallory, were caught in love triangles. Shayne had evident feelings for both Natalie and Shaina from the start. The Chicago-based real estate agent eventually asked Natalie to be his girlfriend without informing Shaina. As a result, despite their huge theological differences, Shaina chose to pursue her relationship with Kyle. Kyle is an agnostic, while Shaina is a Christian.

Mallory got along well with Salvador and Jarrette. Mallory opted to stay with Salvador after much thought — and tears! — leaving Jarrette heartbroken but still interested in his other relationship, Iyanna. Iyanna was scared to be Jarrette’s “second choice,” but she ultimately chose to follow her heart.

In episode 4, the six engaged couples traveled to Mexico to get to know each other better as well as see the other participants with whom they had formed bonds in the pods. The drama was real, despite the lovely setting and plentiful beverages. One pair, in particular, did not make it out of paradise… or did they? On February 18, Netflix released episodes 6-9 of Love Is Blind season 2.

Love Is Blind Season 2 Couples Still Together

Kyle Abrams & Shaina Hurley

The relationship between Shaina Hurley and Kyle Abrams was the most exciting part of Love Is Blind season 2. She seemed to like Shayne, but Shaina decided to give Kyle another try after he married Natalie. Despite their disagreements about Shaina’s religiousness and Kyle’s atheism, the two ended up getting engaged in the pods. Shaina, on the other hand, didn’t want to sleep in the same bed as Kyle at the couples’ retreat, so she left him alone. The future of this particular pair is currently unknown.

Nick Thompson & Danielle Ruhl

While it didn’t appear at first that Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson would be a good match for one other on Love Is Blind, their very different personalities balanced each other out, and they were able to establish genuine connection. Nick provided plenty of reassurance to Danielle, which she greatly appreciated. Despite the fact that the pair encountered some difficulties during their retreat, supporters are hopeful that all will work out in the next episodes.

Jarrette Jones  &  Iyanna McNeely

The possible pairing of Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones in the pods has piqued fans’ interest from the first episode. He also struck up a friendship with Mallory Zapata, but Iyanna proved to be a better match for Jarrette when he exited the pods. Iyanna and Jarrette grew closer over their many conversations as they opened up about past issues that were difficult for them to talk with others. Despite Jarrette being an extrovert and Iyanna being an introvert, their bond grew even deeper at the couples’ retreat in Mexico.

Salvador Perez & Mallory Zapata

In the pods, Mallory Zapata had some chemistry with Jarrette, but Salvador Perez had her heart. They were drawn together by their Mexican ancestors and shared beliefs in life and love. Salvador’s serenade in the pods was the final straw in convincing Mallory to fall in love with him. Salvador and Mallory appeared to be having a great time once they arrived at the couples’ retreat. However, in Mexico, there were certain insecurities and personality problems.

Shayne Jansen & Natalie Lee

Shayne Jansen was a lot to some of the pods’ ladies, but Natalie Lee was smitten by his goofy personality and unvarnished words. Shayne had other talks with Shaina Hurley, but their bond wasn’t as strong as it was in the pods. With that stated, Natalie, like Iyanna and Jarrette, discovered during the Mexico trip that she is a much more introverted person than Shayne, who is often bouncing off the walls.

Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee & Deepti Vempati 

Abhishek Chatterjee (a.k.a. Shake) and Deepti Vempati bonded over the fact that they were both Indian but had never dated another Indian. Shake’s comments about only dating blondes in the past were a little exaggerated, but Deepti understood because her ex-boyfriends were all white men. Shake struggled to connect with Deepti on a physical level during Love Is Blind season 2’s couples’ retreat. Unfortunately, this relationship has a lot of potential.
