MBC’s “Fanletter, Please” is a romantic comedy starring Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung as Han Kang Hee, an A-list actress who winds up facing the greatest crisis of her career. Yoon Bak stars as Han Kang Hee’s first love Bang Jung Suk, a devoted single father whose young daughter is battling leukemia. In order to protect the pure heart of his daughter, who is a huge fan of Han Kang Hee, he winds up writing fake replies to her fan letters to the actress.
The new stills preview Han Kang Hee and Bang Jung Suk in their high school days. The appearance of the two wearing school uniforms gives a sense of naivety and youthfulness. Han Kang Hee is conscious of Bang Jung Suk, who is playing basketball in the school gym, even when she is talking with her friends. The subtle romantic vibes felt between the two make the viewers smile.
Another set of stills capture Han Kang Hee and Bang Jung Suk standing face-to-face in the school hallway. Han Kang Hee looks serious about something, and Bang Jung Suk looks back at her with a worried expression. While the atmosphere between the two is somewhat unusual, it amplifies the viewers’ curiosity about the untold stories from their high school days.
