The Simpsons’ 34th season released on September 25, 2022, is currently now in its 7th episode. The show is popular among audiences not just because it correctly predicts the future. But also for its pop culture references it has which makes it even more relatable to the new generation. The American sitcom has been running for almost three decades and at times has often been controversial.

Speaking of pop culture, the 7th episode is already out. In the episode, there is a reference related to the popular K-pop band and it’s none other than BLACKPINK. In one of the scenes from The Simpsons, Lisa who is the daughter of Homer is sitting at the backside of a car reading a book. Whereas Homer is driving the car and asking his daughter which song she would like to listen to.

She says to her dad that she isn’t in the mood for Jazz but would like to listen to her second favorite music genre. Her dad makes a couple of guesses about Lisa’s favorite music genre but fails. That’s when she answers,” I like K-pop dad. ” Then the Lovesick girls by Blackpink starts playing and everyone in the car vibes to it.

Lovesick Girls by Blackpink was released in the year 2020. Just after the release, it garnered over 61 Million+ views in just 24 hours. Also, it made it to the US Billboard Hot 100 ranking and got over 100 Million streams on Spotify. It’s considered one of the hits by the famous K-pop girl band.
