Tony Khan Has Announced An AEW World Title Match For October 26th At Dynamite

On Twitter, AEW CEO Tony Khan announced a new title match for the 10/26 episode of AEW Dynamite. Khan has declared that AEW World Champion Jon Moxley will defend his AEW World Title this Wednesday against AEW World Trios Champion Penta El Zero Miedo. Moxley stated in a promo released today on AEW’s official Twitter account that he isn’t comfortable and wants to pick up right where he left off.

After Moxley stated that he wants to confront someone with no fear, Penta & Alex Abrahantes appeared on screen and accepted his challenge. Since his victory over Bryan Danielson at AEW: Grand Slam in September, Moxley has held the title of AEW World Champion. Moxley’s most recent title defence was against Hangman Adam Page on the 10/18 episode of Dynamite. The referee stopped the title match after Page landed awkwardly on his head after taking a lariat from Moxley.

Page was later taken to a hospital in Cincinnati and diagnosed with a concussion. He has since been released. The next episode of ‘Dynamite’ will air on Wednesday at the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. Another match on the card is an AEW Tag Team #1 contender match among FTR and Swerve in our Glory. ROH World Champion Chris Jericho and Daniel Garcia will also face Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta, whereas Riho will confront Jamie Hayter.
