This Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage will be broadcast from Atlantic City, NJ’s Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, and boxing legend Mike Tyson will be a special guest commentator. AEW has put out a press release to promote yet another appearance by boxing legend Mike Tyson, complete with AEW CEO Tony Khan lavishing praise on Tyson and expressing his joy about Tyson’s fifth AEW appearance.
We enjoy having Mike Tyson on our shows, and now fans will have the opportunity to see a different side of Mike in AEW as he steps into our commentary booth for the first time alongside the incredible team of Jim Ross, Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone, Khan said. I’m looking forward to seeing what Mike has in store for us in Atlantic City, as well as those watching on TNT and around the world. AEW is currently firing on all cylinders, and incorporating Iron Mike to the mix raises everyone’s game even higher.
Tyson also commented on the press release, urging fans to tune in for the element of surprise. Tyson stated that returning to Atlantic City is always a good idea. I grew up watching wrestling, so being a special guest commentator for AEW on Friday is an honour. In Atlantic City, Tyson had 13 pro boxing matches, four of which were world title fights. His final boxing fight in Atlantic City was in late 1990.
