Watch: Kim Min Kyu Is A Visual Center Adjusting To The Hardships Of His New Idol Life In “The Heavenly Idol” Teaser
tvN’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “The Heavenly Idol” released a new teaser!
Based on a popular webtoon and web novel, tvN’s “The Heavenly Idol” is an upcoming fantasy drama starring Kim Min Kyu as High Priest Rembrary, who suddenly wakes up one day to find himself in the body of Woo Yeon Woo, a member of the unsuccessful idol group Wild Animal.
In the newly released teaser, Woo Yeon Woo begins to adjust to his new life as an idol as he narrates, “I’m not a person of this world. Just only hours ago, I was facing against the King of Darkness (Lee Jang Woo).”
The teaser depicts the great contrast from Rembrary’s life as a revered High Priest to Woo Yeon Woo’s life as an unsuccessful idol. Woo Yeon Woo falls to his knees on the cold hospital floor to offer a prayer, causing Wild Animal’s agency CEO Lim Sun Ja (Ye Ji Won) to remark in concern, “The visual center has finally lost it.”
Woo Yeon Woo is further shocked to step inside the chaotic and messy dorms, asking, “You mean to say people can live in a place like this?” while covering his nose. He also screams in surprise when seeing a video of aegyo (acting cute), asking in disbelief, “You mean I have to copy that?”
Although Wild Animal’s manager Kim Dal (Go Bo Gyeol) tries to help, Woo Yeon Woo only seems to frustrate her by commenting, “Who would have known that manager Kim Dal is in love with Woo Yeon Woo,” which Kim Dal vehemently denies. Seon Woo Shil (Tak Jae Hoon) and Lim Sun Ja continue to express their frustrations at Woo Yeon Woo as Shin Jo Woo (Lee Jang Woo), who is possessed by the other world’s King of Darkness, also remarks, “Rembrary is actually kind of crazy.”
Finally, the teaser ends with Woo Yeon Woo sweetly saying, “It’s a relief I met you in a world such as this.”
