He participated in the process of being transformed into a demon, and it took him three days to completely emerge as a demon known as Kokushibo.
He grew more vicious and violent, yet his attitude remained considerably calmer than in his human form. Kokushibo Past Life
Kokushibo was known as Michikatsu Tsugikuni and worked as a demon slayer over five centuries ago. As a human, it is believed that Kokushiba was envious of his twin brother Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Kokushibo was envious of his younger brother since he was born with innate aptitude and abilities. This emotion grew stronger once he became a demon slayer. He still envied his brother since, as a demon slayer, he would die at the age of 25 while his brother would grow old. He acquired a dread of confronting loss as a result of his inferiority complex, and his demeanor evolved into someone who is easily irritated and violent.
As he got increasingly violent and preoccupied with surpassing his brother in power, he became anxious to use his demon powers. Finally, after his battle with Hashira, he realized how much he had paid for this power. He now possesses an ugly demon instead of being a good and competent demon slayer like his brother. His animosity and envy for his brother are now depicted as three pairs of eyes when he became a demon. His eyes express his eagerness to have a transparent universe in order to outperform his sibling in all fields.
